The home is situated on a 2.5 acre property which shares a driveway with the parking for one RV (separate listing) at the back.
The house has three floors: a loft bedroom, a large main floor that includes common areas, and a huge walk-out vaulted basement to enjoy and relax.
The space
This is for groups or families that are open to exploring a whole new indoor space or as I like to call it, WONDERLAND!!!!
This home and property has a unique layout with an open concept. The main floor of the house has vaulted ceilings with skylights and includes the shared areas of the large kitchen, living room (with a fireplace), and main bathroom. Head downstairs into the large basement with its 14 ft ceiling to relax for a movie or games night, or go for a dip in the hot tub or koi pond. There are two (2) covered porches to read, meditate, or simply hang out, with several walk-in gardens around the grounds. Those looking for a place to meditate or do yoga will have plenty of options to choose from!
Pets are welcome for a small additional fee - please make sure to let us know if you are bringing your furry friends as we have two cats.
**NEWLY RENOVATED:
We added a shower on the main level bathroom and 2 new walls in two of the bedrooms with sound proof insulation (see below), making them fully private and quieter as per guest feedback**
The Full House booking includes exclusive use of the entire house, including the three (3) separate bedrooms, the walk out basement with 2 additional queen size beds, exclusive use of the full house, and priority (upon request) for the hot tub area. You will have complete privacy for your group inside the entire house however we have a separate apartment with separate entrance.
There may be a guest or two staying at the separate RV at the back of the acreage - please message me if you would like to know if the RV is occupied or if you would like to block your booking dates or add the RV to your reservation if you have more than 16 people. RV can sleep an additional 6 people. If RV is booked by other guests then the outdoor areas are shared which mostly relates to parking and the hot tub.
The "Birds View" Loft Bedroom is a fully private room upstairs with a king-sized bed, 50" TV and DVD player.
The "Queen of Hearts" Suite is a semi-private, open room with a queen-sized bedroom, clawfoot tub, and toilet. This suite has half-walls which block sight but do allow sounds to travel.
The "New York" Bedroom is a fully private room with a double-sized bed, adjacent to the kitchen (a common area). This room is best for the early risers who want to watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee and try to spot the koi fish in the pond or deer in the gardens as it has the shortest access to the back balcony.
The Basement has two (2) queen-sized beds. *Additional beds can be set either by parties bringing their own air mattresses, or the pull-out couch or 2 other couches being made before arrival.
The Living Room has a huge table for group meals or games with a huge TV and streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple+, Disney+ and more) set up.
We do provide ear plugs, as the beauty in the architecture design does provide for noise travelling to 3 of the sleeping areas.
We have an Amazon Echo in which you can listen to ANYTHING; with all the plants in the house we recommend you "play Rainforest Sounds" for true ambience among all the plants! We have unique Ficus trees (that cannot be moved, they are very sensitive & exotic) and cool ferns on top of the half walls. Not to mention 2.5 acres for you to enjoy the outdoors, say hi to huge koi fish in the pond, enjoy a meal outside with a BBQ and patio furniture overlooking the land.
This is a remote, quiet neighbourhood and we want to be respectful of our neighbours. Quiet hours start at 10:00pm and no loud hot tub parties can occur at Serenity Lodges unless they are before those hours and do NOT include any drinks in the hot tub. This is to keep the water clear for all and we have a dumping fee if the water is unsalvageable after the booking if these rules are not followed.
PLEASE NOTE: Owners stays in the small bachelor suite with a separate entrance and no shared indoor spaces… We may also stay in the RV during a Full House booking to give even more privacy if there is an event or wedding. Requests for owners to be off-site during your stay can be discussed for an additional fee. Weddings and events are welcome with written permission and event fees paid in advance of checking in.
Guest access
Check In and Parking
You will be sent a private passcode after booking to access the front door.
The driveway in front of the garage has space for two (2) vehicles. For additional vehicles, follow the gravel path down the grounds for parking for up to 7 vehicles (in between the shed and RV).
*Please make sure that the driveway path is clear and unblocked, as the owners, other guests, or workers may need access.
Bus/Transit
The '64' bus route that reaches our area and comes comes every ~2 hours and will bring you into Langford or Sooke, and can also drop you off at local trails or hikes, or with a transfer to the '50' bus line in Langford it can bring you right to the city of Victoria.
The '64' bus route runs from 6:45am to 5:15pm, so make sure you plan out your return in advance as it can be difficult to find a taxi to get back.
Shopping
There is a small grocery store 2.8km away that has the basics and essentials, with a wooden Sasquatch that is perfect for a selfie.
Head over to Metchosin (20 min drive) to buy some local hand-made artwork, grab some great My-Chosen Pizza, and eat next to the goats at the petting zoo.
Local Views
The East Sooke Regional Park is close by with many trails and hike within it, the closest access is the Coppermine Trail (off Coppermine Rd) only a 30min walk away. There are tons of views while driving along these roads, such as Spirit Bay, Sooke Inlet, and Pike Bay.

No food or drinks in the hot tub, period. It's a very strict rule for us to keep it clean for all guests. You must bathe before entering the hot tub.
Depending on what you need, please let us know the number of guests so we can have the right number of beds prepared and bedrooms open for use.
